The cure for baseball fever is here and the remedy is Opening Day. The Kansas City Royals are a part of that prescription, with a scheduled intake of 3:10 p.m. against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday and regular doses between now and October.

If you’re interested in going to the season opener or other home games for the 2022 season, here’s how to get tickets.

WHERE DO I BUY THEM?

You can buy tickets to any Royals home game here. Prices will vary depending on who and when they play. Ticket prices may also fluctuate on how well Kansas City is performing.

You’ll have to create an MLB account and log in before buying tickets online. You can also buy, access and transfer your tickets through the MLB Ballpark app.

If you’re interested in going, you can also call 1-800-676-9257 to order tickets to any game. You’ll have to call between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. The phone line is open seven days a week.

CAN I BUY THEM IN PERSON?

The box office is open to purchase tickets from these times on game days:

  • 11 a.m. until the middle of the seventh inning on weekday games and;
  • One and a half hours before the game starts until the middle for the seventh inning on weekend games.

If you decide to catch a game on a whim, you can buy them at the box office and enjoy the show. However, it’s much easier to purchase tickets online.

To reduce the risk of ticket fraud, Kauffman Stadium no longer accepts physical tickets. If you do want a physical ticket as a souvenir, the team offers you the option to buy one after the game here or on the Ballpark app.

WHAT ABOUT BUYING THEM FROM UNOFFICIAL SITES?

StubHub is the safest place to buy tickets other than the Royals website since they’re partnered with the MLB, or the Ballpark app. Prices on StubHub will vary depending on the same circumstances, such as who Kansas City is playing.

Tread with caution when you’re buying from other ticket websites. You could be getting scammed.
