If this is your 1,000th game or your first time ever heading out to Kauffman Stadium to watch the Royals, parking can be confusing.

The Truman Sports Complex has a massive parking lot since it covers two stadiums, and sometimes it can get hectic getting a spot.

Here are a few things you’ll need to know ahead of time before you head out to a Royals game.

WHERE DO I PARK?

A map of the parking lot can be found here. Depending on what way you enter the Truman Sports Complex, you’ll be directed to your spot by one of the traffic attendants. Parking spaces will also be available for both vehicles and buses in the lot.

If you have a disabled permit, they have spaces reserved for you to park. Make sure you’re displaying your disabled tags so the traffic attendants can direct you to the right spot.

There are multiple parking pass options available for a game, and you can buy the option that best fits your needs here. You can get the pass at the game, but it will be cheaper if you buy online.

One more thing: if you’re biking to the game, you’ll need to lock up your bike on the outside of the media fence in Lot B. Entry is completely free if you bike to Kauffman Stadium, besides the cost of your ticket.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The prices for each parking pass are below:

  • For a general parking pass, it’s $20 if you purchase online and $30 at the gate

  • A reserved parking pass is $30 online and $40 at the gate

  • Prices for an oversized vehicle parking pass is $40 if you buy it online and $50 at the entry gates

If you buy it in person, you can pay by credit card at designated toll booths at Gates 3, 4, 5 or 6. If you bought it online, you’ll need to have it pulled up on the MLB Ballpark app before you get to the entry gates.

Season ticket members, reserved and premium parking pass holders will also get a hang tag for traffic directors to identify and direct you to the correct lot.

WHAT ABOUT RIDE-SHARE SERVICES?

If you’re using ride-share services like Uber or Lyft, there’s a drop-off and pick-up section in Lot A. They’ll have visible flags waving to mark where you’ll need to go if you’re waiting on a driver.
