Royals will wear jersey patch honoring David Glass throughout 2020 season
The Royals will play the 2020 season with a patch on their right jersey sleeve honoring David Glass.
Glass, the Royals’ owner for 20 seasons, died Jan. 9. He sold the team to a group led by John Sherman this offseason.
The patch is round and displays Glass’ initials, DG, in royal blue with a crown adornment. Royals players and alumni will wear jerseys with the patch during the team’s FanFest on Friday and Saturday at Bartle Hall.
