Royals-Cubs game Saturday is postponed because of rain
Could a rainout in May have implications on the pennant race?
Maybe.
The Royals’ game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Saturday was postponed because of rain. The game instead will be played on Sept. 28 at 7:05 p.m. That’s on a Monday during the last week of the regular season.
The good news for the Royals is they already were planning to go to Chicago that week. The Royals will open a three-game series against the White Sox at U.S. Celluar Field on Sept. 29.
Yordano Ventura will start in Sunday’s game against the Cubs, meaning Jeremy Guthrie will take the mound for Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Indians at Kauffman Stadium.
