Adorable: Kauffman Stadium goes to the dogs (and that’s a good thing)

Some of the folks in the stands at Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday were panting with excitement. After all, that’s what dogs do.

For the third time this season, the Kansas City Royals presented Bark at the Park, when fans get to buy a special ticket to sit with their pooches near left field. For each ticket package purchased, the Royals donated $5 to KC Pet Project, which operates Kansas City’s no-kill shelter plus adoption centers in Zona Rosa and Overland Park.

The organization brought puppies to adopt out, and, before the game, Royals Charities donated $2,500 to the organization. The Royals lost to the Tampa Bay Devils, but pets were the big winners that night.
