Six Royals prospects set for fall league team

Outfielder Bubba Starling, shortstop Raul Mondesi and third baseman Hunter Dozier are among six Royals prospects who will compete for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League, the team announced.

Prospects from the Royals, Braves, Indians, Cardinals and Rays will make up the Peoria squad. The team will be led by Vance Wilson, the manager of the Royals Class AA team in Northwest Arkansas.

Also from the Royals organization heading to Peoria: left-handed pitcher Sam Selman and right-handed pitchers Miguel Almonte and Ali Williams.

The season begins on Oct. 7 and runs through Nov. 13.

The Rising Stars Game is Nov. 1 and the league championship contest is Nov. 15.
