Kansas City posts the fifth-highest average ratings for the Cubs-Indians World Series
The 2016 World Series between the Cubs and Indians has been a huge television draw. The 23.396 million viewers on Fox on Tuesday were the most for a Game 6 since 1997.
Kansas City, used to watching the Royals in the World Series over the previous two years, is contributing to the big numbers.
Over the first six games, Kansas City posted the fifth highest average ratings, according to Nielsen.
Kansas City has averaged a 20.1 rating and 32 share.
That trails only Cleveland (42.1), Chicago (36.3), Columbus, Ohio, (20.5) and Indianapolis (20.3).
The Royals on Fox Sports Kansas City this season were the top rated local market broadcasts in baseball, averaging a 10.9 rating.
