Baseball’s trade deadline moves: Tigers trade Yoenis Cespedes to the Mets

Baseball’s non-waiver trade deadline is at 3 p.m. Friday, so it’s the last time this season that teams can trade players without having them clear waivers. It’s usually a hectic day, but then again, it’s been a crazy week.

Here is what what went down on Friday, which was nutty:

The Mets got Tigers outfielder Yoenis Cespedes before the deadline:

After the deadline, a slew of trades were announced that apparently got done under the wire:

Toronto continued to make trades, adding relief pitcher Mark Lowe and outfielder Ben Revere:

Minnesota got a piece for its bullpen, acquiring Kevin Jepsen from the Rays:

The Chicago Cubs traded for pitcher Marlins pitcher Dan Haren:

The Cardinals traded for former Royals closer Jonathon Broxton of the Brewers:

The Cole Hamels trade to the Rangers was finally announced:

The Orioles traded for Milwaukee outfielder Gerardo Parra:
