Lee’s Summit North High School selects Jamar Mozee to be next football coach
Lee’s Summit North hired Jamar Mozee on Monday to be its next head football coach, the school announced.
He will replace Ty Kohl, who coached the team to a 1-9 record in his sixth and final season with the Broncos.
Mozee served as the offensive coordinator for Kohl last season. The Broncos averaged 16.3 points per game last season and were eliminated in the first round of the Missouri Class 6 playoffs.
Mozee was a two-time all-state running back at Blue Springs and earned a scholarship to Oklahoma, which he attended in 2000 before transferring to Nichols State.
He previously coached at Park Hill South, William Chrisman and Faith Academy. He is a special education teacher at Campbell Middle School.
