SCHOOL: Oak Grove
YEAR: Senior
SPORT: Wrestling
In the Panthers’ wrestling program that has won 16 state championships, Cairer stands as the all-time pins leader. He broke the school record last week and has 104 for his career. He followed that by winning the 170-pound weight division in the Panther Classic last weekend.

Kacey Kennett
SCHOOL: Olathe South
YEAR: Senior
SPORT: Basketball
Kennett, a 6-foot senior captain and Fort Hays State signee, scored a game-high 33 points in the Falcons’ 65-50 victory against Leavenworth last Friday. It was the Falcons’ third victory of the season over Leavenworth and second in a week against the Pioneers, the Kansas Class 5A defending state champions.
