1. Lee’s Summit ... 8-0 ... The Tigers have topped 70 points in every game this season.

2. Lawrence ... 6-1 ... The Chesty Lions’ only loss came against top-ranked Lee’s Summit.

3. Blue Valley Northwest ... 3-0 ... The Huskies are off to a good start with an influx of new players.

4. Olathe East ... 5-1 ... Since a season-opening loss, the Hawks have won four in a row.

5. Liberty North ... 8-1 ... With a championship win at the William Jewell Holiday Classic, the Eagles have won seven straight.

6. Lee’s Summit West ... 7-2 ... The Titans won the Nelson Division at the William Jewell Holiday Classic.

7. Blue Springs South ... 8-1 ... The Jaguars had won 15 straight games, dating back to last season, before falling to LS West.

8. Blue Valley North ... 4-1 ... The Mustangs are back to full strength with senior Joey Dolan playing again.

9. Olathe South ... 5-1 ... Nic Slavin has scored 19 points in back-to-back games for the Falcons.

10. Blue Valley ... 4-1 ... The Tigers’ last two victories have each been decided by single digits.

1. Barstow ... 6-1 ... All six Knights’ victories have come by double digits.

2. Basehor-Linwood ... 5-0 ... Jack Dale has scored 40 points in the last two games.

3. Hogan Prep ... 9-2 ... A tournament title at the Leavenworth Invitational is a highlight for the Rams.

4. O’Hara ... 6-3 ... The Celtics scored 101 points in a double-overtime win Monday against Center.

5. Bonner Springs ... 5-1 ... The Braves’ only loss came against Kaw Valley foe Basehor-Linwood.

BIG-CLASS GIRLS ... RECORD ... COMMENT

1. Liberty ... 10-1 ... The Blue Jays defeated three-time defending New York state-champion Ossining last week.

2. Olathe South ... 6-0 ... The Falcons are unbeaten, with four starters back from last year.

3. Leavenworth ... 4-1 ... The Kansas Class 5A defending champions have only lost to Olathe South.

4. Shawnee Mission Northwest ... 5-1 ... The Cougars will face a tough test Friday with second-ranked Leavenworth.

5. North Kansas City ... 7-1 ... A first-place finish at the Winnetonka Tournament jumpstarted a 7-1 start.

6. Blue Valley Northwest ... 4-1 ... Mya Mertz scored double digits in each of the Huskies’ first five games.

7. Olathe East ... 4-1 ... The Hawks finished third in Kickapoo’s Stephanie Phillips Classic.

8. Lee’s Summit ... 7-3 ... The three defeats have come against teams with a combined two losses.

9. Lawrence Free State ... 5-1 ... Senior Madison Piper scored 28 points in a win Tuesday.

10. St. Thomas Aquinas ... 4-2 ... The Saints have beaten three Eastern Kansas League teams.

SMALL-CLASS GIRLS ... RECORD ... COMMENT

1. Bishop Miege ... 4-0 ... The Class 4A Division I defending champions have won 38 straight games.

2. Piper ... 6-0 ... Senior Jessica Wayne broke the career 2,000-point barrier on Tuesday.

3. St. Pius X ... 8-1 ... The Warriors are shooting 47 percent from the field this season.

4. O’Hara ... 9-0 ... The unbeaten record is a significant turnaround after the Celtics finished below .500 last season.

5. Paola ... 5-1 ... The Panthers’ only loss came by six points to Piper in the third game of the season.
