The Star’s high school football players of the week for Nov. 20
Dawson Goepferich
SCHOOL: Kearney
YEAR: Junior
Goepferich booted a game-winning field goal in overtime to lift Kearney to a 23-20 win against Helias last week. It was the seventh field goal of the season for Goepferich, who has made 57 of 59 extra points. Kearney will play Webb City on Saturday in a Class 4 state semifinal.

Colton Beebe
SCHOOL: Piper
YEAR: Senior
Beebe had 104 rushing yards and three touchdowns in 21 carries against Paola to lead the Pirates to the Kansas Class 4A Division I semifinals. He also had 10 tackles to bring his season total to 137. He needs just one more tackle to cross the 500 mark for his career at Piper.
