SCHOOL: Rockhurst
YEAR: Junior
Taylor lunged into the end zone with 2 minutes, 16 seconds remaining to give Rockhurst a 34-29 win against Blue Springs in the Missouri Class 6 quarterfinals. It was the fitting conclusion to a breakout performance from Taylor, who scored all five of the Hawklets' touchdowns to dethrone the two-time defending state champions.

Jon Shull
SCHOOL: Shawnee Mission West
YEAR: Senior
Shull came off the bench and rushed for two touchdowns as Shawnee Mission West opened the Kansas Class 6A footbal state playoffs with a victory against Olathe South. He completed six of seven passes for 108 yards. It was the Vikings’ fifth consecutive victory.
