Here’s the 913 area high school football Week 4 review for teams in the Eastern Kansas League, Sunflower League and five other squads, including team’s overall record, conference record, last week’s result, this week’s opponent and a comment.

Eastern Kansas League

1. Blue Valley (4-0, 3-0)

Beat Blue Valley Southwest 47-14; Fri. at Blue Valley North

Colton McCumber and AJ Totta combined for four touchdowns for the Tigers, including three on the ground.

2. Bishop Miege (3-1, 3-1)

Beat St. Thomas Aquinas 41-21; Thurs. vs. Blue Valley West

The Stags bounced back from their first loss in 16 games, thanks to Dawson Downing’s three touchdowns.

3. Blue Valley North (3-1, 3-1)

Beat Blue Valley Northwest 28-21; Fri. at Blue Valley

Mustangs quarterback Joey Dolan recorded his second consecutive three-touchdown game.

4. St. Thomas Aquinas (2-2, 2-1)

Lost to Bishop Miege 41-21; Fri. vs. Gardner Edgerton

The Saints dug a hole by giving up 34 consecutive points to the Stags in the second and third quarters.

5. Blue Valley West (1-3, 1-2)

Beat Gardner Edgerton 42-14; Thurs. vs. Bishop Miege

Quarterback Nathan Wiles led the Jaguars to their first victory of the season with four touchdowns.

6. Gardner Edgerton (1-3, 1-2)

Lost to Blue Valley West 42-14; Fri. at St. Thomas Aquinas

The Trailblazers have been outscored by more than 100 points across their three losses this season.

The Thunder excelled in the run game with four rushing touchdowns from Trey Keith and Dylan Streeter.

3. De Soto (3-1, 1-0)

Beat Tonganoxie 26-6; Fri. at Spring Hill

The Wildcats have only allowed 13 points by opponents in their three victories this season.

4. Spring Hill (1-3, 1-2)

Beat Baldwin 23-18; Fri. vs. De Soto

The Broncos picked up a narrow victory, which was their first under new coach Jason Feeback.

5. Immaculata/Maranatha Christian (0-4)

Lost to Jayhawk-Linn 49-26; Fri. at Highland-Doniphan West

The team has yet to win its first game, but three of the losses have been decided by single digits.
