Colton McCumber, A.J. Totta and Will Evans combined for six touchdowns to take sole possession of the EKL lead.
2. St. Thomas Aquinas (2-1, 2-0)
Beat Blue Valley Northwest 42-13; Fri. at Bishop Miege
The Saints scored the first six touchdowns of the game, with two on the ground from Duron Lowe.
3. Bishop Miege (2-1, 2-1)
Lost to Blue Valley 42-35; Fri. vs. St. Thomas Aquinas
The Stags lost an early lead and snapped a 15-game winning streak for their first loss since 2013.

Joey Dolan connected with Alex Blake for three touchdowns in the Mustangs’ victory.

The Trailblazers picked up their first victory of the season in their highest scoring game.

Lost to St. Thomas Aquinas 42-13;Fri. at Blue Valley North
The Huskies have scored 14 points or less in each of their first three games this season.

Lost to Blue Valley North 28-7; Fri. vs. Gardner Edgerton
Chris Morris scored the first points of the game on a 1-yard run, but the Jaguars gave up 28 unanswered points.

Kirby Grigsby scored three rushing touchdowns and the Vikings eased their way to victory.
2. Lawrence (3-0, 2-0)
Beat Lawrence Free State 14-12; Thurs. at SM Northwest
The Lions defeated their crosstown rival for the first time since 2011 and second in nine years.
3. Shawnee Mission East (3-0, 2-0)
Beat SM Northwest 44-20; Fri. at SM West
The Lancers gave up their first points of the season, but were still able to rout the Cougars.
4. Olathe North (2-1, 2-0)
Beat Olathe South 40-14; Fri. vs. SM South
Matt Wright scored two rushing touchdowns and connected with Storey Jackson for a third.
5. Olathe Northwest (2-1, 1-1)
Beat Leavenworth 30-7; Fri. at Olathe South
Darius Henderson led the Ravens to victory with two rushing touchdowns and Brendan Watkins added another.
6. Olathe East (1-2, 1-1)
Beat SM South 29-7; Fri. at SM North
First-year coach Jesse Owens and the Hawks picked up their first victory of the season.
7. Olathe South (1-2, 1-1)
Lost to Olathe North 40-14; Fri. vs. Olathe Northwest
Both of the Falcons’ scoring drives came on plays of 40 yards or more, including a 95-yard kickoff return.
8. Shawnee Mission Northwest (1-2, 1-1)
Lost to SM East 44-20; Thurs. vs. Lawrence
The Cougars were the first team to score on SM East this season, but still lost the game.
9. Shawnee Mission North (1-2, 1-2)
Lost to SM West 48-7; Fri. vs. Olathe East
The Indians gave up 42 straight points before Will Schneider connected with Parker Williamson.

Lost to Olathe Northwest 30-7; Fri. vs. Lawrence Free State
The Pioneers gave up 30 straight points before Wade Jackson’s rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Firebirds’ last two losses have been decided by a combined six points.
