The Star’s high school football players of the week for Nov. 6
Missouri: Matt Harris
SCHOOL: Park Hill
YEAR: Junior
After starting the year as a backup, Harris was elevated into action when starter Kenyatte Harris suffered an injury. Matt Harris ensured Park Hill didn’t missed a beat. He ran for 273 yards and three touchdowns in a playoff win against Liberty last week. The Trojans play host to Liberty North in the Class 5, District 8 championship game Friday.

Kansas: Tyler Cox
SCHOOL: Blue Valley West
YEAR: Senior
Cox scored early and often last week in the Jaguars’ season-ending 56-24 victory against Blue Valley Southwest. He rushed for 268 yards and five touchdowns in 24 carries. Three of those touchdown runs were 10 or more yards, including one scoring run of 51 yards. Blue Valley West failed to advance to the Kansas regional playoffs.
