Kansas City area high school football schedule for Nov. 7

Here are spotlight games on Friday’s Kansas City area high school football schedule:

Kansas Class 4A Division I: Basehor-Linwood (7-2) at Bishop Miege (9-0)

Bishop Miege, which dropped down to Kansas Class 4A this season, went undefeated in the Eastern Kansas League. Led by Kansas commit Ryan Willis, Miege is averaging 42 points per game. In Basehor-Linwood’s two losses this season, the Bobcats faced high-powered offenses. The Bobcats gave up 53 points to Bonner Springs and 59 to Piper.

Missouri Class 5: Winnetonka (8-2) at Fort Osage (10-0)

Fort Osage, the top-ranked team in the state, forces opponents into a pick-your-poison conundrum. Junior quarterback Skylar Thompson has thrown 21 touchdowns in 10 games. Senior tailback Jesse McBee has run for 15 touchdowns and caught six more this season. But Winnetonka has weapons, too. It starts with highly-recruited two-way player Marquise Doherty, who has battled a shoulder injury this season but still has 14 rushing touchdowns.
