The Star’s high school football players of the week (Sept. 17)
Missouri: Chance Chamberlain
SCHOOL: Harrisonville
YEAR: Senior
The Wildcats are 4-0 for the first time since 2007, and Chamberlain was the pacesetter for the latest win. In a 42-12 victory against Richmond, he turned 11 rushes into 58 yards and four touchdowns, and he also passed for 113 yards and a fifth score.

SCHOOL: Lawrence
YEAR: Senior
Woods started his night last week with an 89-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, which set the tone for the Chesty Lions’ 41-14 victory against Leavenworth. The senior running back finished with 181 yards and five touchdowns on just 16 carries.
