Simpson pitched a shutout Saturday in the Eagles’ 6-0 victory against rival Liberty in the championship game of the Northland Tournament. He also produced at the plate with four doubles, eight runs and four RBIs during the three-game tournament. Simpson has a five-game hitting streak for the Eagles, who are 19-1.

Emma Roush• SCHOOL:

Blue Valley West

• YEAR:

Senior

• SPORT:

Diving

Roush broke her own school record for the 11th time in her career by scoring 503.15 points on Saturday at the Shawnee Mission East Dive Invitational. She took first, winning by 144 points. Roush won the Kansas Class 6A state championship with 448.25 points last season.
