SCHOOL: St. James Academy

YEAR: Junior

SPORT: Cross Country

Jones won the Kansas Class 5A Mill Valley regional with a time of 15 minutes, 10.50 seconds and led the Thunder to a second-place team finish on Saturday at Shawnee Mission Park. It was her second consecutive individual title after winning the West Platte Invitational two weeks ago. She has placed in the top five in six of her seven meets this season.

Marcin Glebocki

SCHOOL: Park Hill

YEAR: Junior

SPORT: Swimming

Glebocki repeated as the Suburban Red Conference champion in the 50-yard freestyle on Saturday at Henley Aquatic Center, and he added a victory in the 100 freestyle. The two wins helped Park Hill edge rival Park Hill South for the team title. Glebocki finished as the state runner-up in the 50 free last fall.
