The Star’s high school athletes of the week for April 10

Pyle broke his school record in the long jump with a mark of 22 feet, 4 inches at the Shawnee Mission East Quad, then broke it again with a 22-5 at the SM South Relays on Saturday, scoring in victories in both events. He is 5 inches away from the school record in the triple jump.
Jenna Winebrenner• SCHOOL:Park Hill
• YEAR:Freshman
• SPORT:Soccer
Winebrenner recorded her first career hat trick in a 4-0 win last week against St. Joseph Central. She was just getting started. The central midfielder scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Winnetonka the following night. The Trojans were 6-1 entering Thursday.
