Former Lancer accepts head coaching job in Augusta

After helping lead Shawnee Mission East to the Kansas Class 6A state championship game as an assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator, Jason Filbeck has accepted a head coaching job at Augusta High School pending school board approval on March 10.

Filbeck, who played collegiately at Baker University, coached at Shawnee Mision East for the past 10 seasons. He will also teach in the physical education department at Augusta.
