The Star’s All-Metro girls golf team
A two-time Missouri all-state selection, Frerking won the Suburban Gold Conference tournament and the Lady Jaguar Invitational. She finished the season with an 18-hole scoring average of 79.44.
Chandler Gallagher, Kearney, senior.The fourth-place finisher at the Missouri Class 2 state tournament, Gallagher received the Kenneth Smith Award, given to the top high school girls golfer in Kansas City, based on athletic performance, academic achievement and community service.
A consistent top finisher, Judd won her second straight Kansas Class 6A individual state title. She placed first in all but one of the tournaments she entered last season and won the Sunflower League title before placing first in her regional.
Olivia Laub, Barstow, freshman.Laub placed fourth at the Missouri Class 1 state tournament. She placed among the top-five finishers in all but one tournament last season.
Mariah Peters, Blue Springs, junior.After winning the MO-KAN Invitational for the second straight season, Peters placed eighth at the Missouri Class 2 state tournament, which marks her third straight season finishing in the top-10.
Ashley Root, St. Thomas Aquinas, senior.The Saints’ lone senior was crowned as the Eastern Kansas League champion, winning the three events by a combined 11 shots. She also won her regional tournament and finished eighth at the Kansas Class 5A state meet.
