Here’s the Suburban Conference Week 2 high school football recap, including overall record, conference record and last week’s result.

Suburban Gold Conference

1. Blue Springs South (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Liberty North 38-6

The resurgent Jaguars got two touchdowns from Myles Davis.

2. Lee’s Summit West (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Park Hill South 34-21

For the second straight week, Mario Goodrich’s interception return sparked the win.

3. Lee’s Summit (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Hickman 20-7

The Tigers held Hickman scoreless for the final three quarters for a comeback win.

4. Lee’s Summit North (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Winnetonka 14-0

The Broncos have allowed seven points in two weeks after holding nobody to single digits in 2014.

5. Raymore-Peculiar (1-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Staley 35-10

A worrisome trend: The Panthers have allowed 35 points in back-to-back weeks.

6. Blue Springs (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Fort Osage 30-16

The Wildcats took a brief lead in the second half, but couldn’t hang on to it.

Suburban Red Conference

1. Park Hill (1-1, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Smithville 35-6

Billy Maples threw two touchdowns to D.J. Johnson in the victory.

2. Truman (1-1, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Raytown South 25-22

Quarterback Dean Clemons ran for one touchdown and threw for another.

3. Liberty (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Kearney 49-14

The Blue Jays ran for 150 yards, but turned the ball over twice.

4. St. Joseph Central (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Platte County 41-34

The Indians failed to hold on to a 34-17 fourth quarter lead.

5. Park Hill South (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Lee’s Summit West 34-21

A better showing from the Panthers, who briefly led in the second half.

6. Ruskin (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Pembroke Hill 24-7

The offense has managed only one touchdown in two weeks.

Suburban White Conference

1. Fort Osage (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Blue Springs 30-16

Quarterback Skylar Thompson had four touchdowns — all on the ground.

2. Staley (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Raymore-Peculiar 35-10

Faizol Bouchard scored three touchdowns in the Falcons’ blowout win.

3. Liberty North (1-1, 1-0)

Last week: Lost to Blue Springs South 38-6

Through two weeks, the Eagles haven’t found a way to move the chains.

4. William Chrisman (1-1, 1-0)

Last week: Defeated Raytown 34-14

After a lightning delay, the Bears responded with two late touchdowns and their first win.

5. North Kansas City (1-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Belton 26-7

The defense kept it close for a half. The offense couldn’t take advantage.

6. Raytown (0-2, 0-2)

Last week: Lost to William Chrisman 34-14

The failure to punch in a go-ahead fourth-quarter touchdown doomed Raytown.

7. Oak Park (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Grandview 38-0

The Northmen have allowed 71 points in two games.

Suburban Blue Conference

1. Kearney (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Liberty 49-14

Quarterback Logan Hinck has eight touchdowns in two weeks, including two on the ground.

2. Platte County (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated St. Joseph Central 41-34

After trailing by 17 in the fourth quarter, the Pirates scored 24 unanswered to win.

3. Grandview (2-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Oak Park 38-0

Arlonn Tolson scored three touchdowns and the defense didn’t allow a score for the second straight week.

4. Belton (1-1, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated North Kansas City 26-7

A nice bounce-back win for Belton, which allowed fewer than 200 total yards.

5. Winnetonka (1-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Lee’s Summit North 14-0

After a 33-point opening week, the Griffins were held off the scoreboard Friday.

6. Raytown South (0-2, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Truman 25-22

Quarterback Jabril Cox ran for two scores and threw for one more in the loss.
