Here’s the Suburban Conference Week 1 high school football recap, including overall record, conference record and last week’s result.

Suburban Gold Conference

1. Blue Springs South (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Park Hill 14-7

The Jaguars earn the top spot after avenging last season's 25-point loss.

2. Raymore-Peculiar (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Belton 43-35

James Sappington kicked three field goals and scored a touchdown in the win.

3. Lee's Summit West (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Liberty 35-9

Jacob Katzfey caught one touchdown and ran for another to ice the victory.

4. Lee's Summit (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Truman 33-0

Quarterback Dalton Hill has his favorite target. He threw two TDs to Delshaun Presley.

5. Lee's Summit North (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Park Hill South 21-7

The Broncos made a winner out of Jamar Mozee in his head coaching debut.

6. Blue Springs (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Staley 35-0

After an early fumble, the Wildcats couldn't muster anything offensively.

Suburban Red Conference

1. Park Hill (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Blue Springs South 14-7

The Trojans are searching for the right formula in the backfield after an injury to Matt Harris.

2. Liberty (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Lee's Summit West 35-9

Behind 191 rushing yards from Robert Rawie, the Blue Jays hung tough for three quarters.

3. Truman (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Lee's Summit 33-0

A disappointing debut for Truman, which is looking for its second straight winning season.

4. St. Joseph Central (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Kearney 55-15

The Indians have a lot of returning starters back this season.

5. Park Hill South (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Lee's Summit North 21-7

Other than a two-minute drill touchdown, the Panthers struggled to move the chains.

6. Ruskin (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Grandview 58-6

It could be a long season for the Eagles, who have their fifth head coach in five years.

Suburban White Conference

1. Fort Osage (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Raytown South 27-14

The top-ranked team in Missouri Class 5 had four ejections but survived on opening night.

2. Staley (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Blue Springs 35-0

Four different players had touchdowns in one of the most impressive performances of the week.

3. Liberty North (1-0, 1-0)

Last week: Defeated Raytown 14-9

The Eagles will look to a reliable defense to carry the load while the offense learns the ropes.

4. Raytown (0-1, 0-1)

Last week: Lost to Liberty North 14-9

The Bluejays expect to be better defensively this season, and it showed in the opener.

5. North Kansas City (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated St. Joseph Lafayette 16-7

D.J. Whitmill neared the 200-yard rushing mark and added a touchdown in the win.

6. Oak Park (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Winnetonka 33-18

The Northmen fought back from an early deficit but couldn't make enough plays in the fourth quarter.

7. William Chrisman (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Platte County 39-18

The Bears couldn't overcome a pair of special teams lapses that resulted in touchdowns.

Suburban White Conference

1. Kearney (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated St. Joseph Central 55-15

Logan Hinck threw for four touchdowns in his first game as the starting quarterback.

2. Platte County (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated William Chrisman 39-18

Tyler Clemens scored twice on special teams in the victory.

3. Winnetonka (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Oak Park 33-18

In his first start on offense, junior Djimon Colbert provided two touchdowns.

4. Raytown South (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Fort Osage 27-14

The Cardinals led at halftime but weren't able to solve Fort Osage's defense.

5. Belton (0-1, 0-0)

Last week: Lost to Raymore-Peculiar 43-35

Zach Willis scored three touchdowns (79, 26 and 20 yards) in a losing effort.

6. Grandview (1-0, 0-0)

Last week: Defeated Ruskin 58-6

Seven different players scored touchdowns in an impressive season debut.
