Olathe North rolls to 3rd straight state championship in Kansas high school gymnastics
Olathe North owns a third straight Kansas high school gymnastics title after winning big at Saturday’s state championships in Newton.
Olathe North compiled 109 points during the one-day competition at Newton High. Second place went to Lawrence, which narrowly edged Shawnee Mission Northwest, Olathe West and the rest of the field.
Olathe Northwest junior Emmy Keller was the individual all-around champion. She also took first on the uneven bars.
Senior Lindsey Ray of Olathe North took home two individual medals — in balance bar and floor exercise — and Shawnee Mission Northwest senior Kaia Givner garnered a first-place trophy on the vault.
