Week 1: Vote now for your Kansas City area high school football Player of the Week
Week one of high school football in Missouri is in the books.
Now it’s time to vote for your Kansas City area Player of the Week.
This season, The Star is holding a weekly poll for readers to vote on their chosen high school football player of the week. The poll will be posted online each Wednesday, with voting open until Thursday night, and the winner announced each Friday.
For this poll, The Star is asking high school football coaches around the metro for their nominations. This week, we heard from schools all over the metro, from Kansas City to Belton and Blue Springs.
In Kansas, the high school football season starts Friday. So on Monday, after the games are finished, The Star will ask coaches on the Kansas side to submit nominations for their players to be recognized.
