Piper finishes third in 4A softball

Piper pounded out 11 hits in the Kansas 4A third-place game and beat Baldwin 3-2 Friday in Salina, Kan.

Piper finished with a 21-4 record.

The Pirates’ hopes for a state title ended with an 8-4 loss to Augusta in the semifinals.
