Rockhurst captures third place in Missouri state soccer tournament

Nicholas Pileggi and Liam Bailey each scored a goal as Rockhurst beat Lee’s Summit 2-1 in the third-place game of the Missouri Class 4 state soccer tournament in Fenton on Saturday.

Mason McQueen scored the goal for Lee’s Summit.

Chirstian Brothers College High won the championship, beating DeSmet 1-0 in the final.

In Class 3 play, Van Horn played Springfield Glendale to a 0-0 draw in the third-place game.
