Three marquee Suburban Conference matchups highlight tonight’s slate of games.

We’ll start this week’s picks with Lee’s Summit’s trip to Blue Springs.

Last week’s record: 3-2

Season record: 15-9

As for this week...

Lee’s Summit (3-1) at Blue Springs (3-1)

Blue Springs walloped Lee’s Summit by 42 points not once but twice last season. Lee’s Summit has closed the gap — and anytime you have quarterback Drew Lock on your side, you stand a chance — but the Tigers aren’t quite there yet.

Prediction: Blue Springs 35, Lee’s Summit 28

Staley (3-1) at Fort Osage (4-0)

The Suburban White Conference foes seem to play to instant-classic finishes every season. Staley is looking to build on its comeback victory against a quality Liberty North team. Fort Osage is trying to knock off its third state-ranked team in five weeks.

Prediction: Fort Osage 28, Staley 17

Winnetonka (3-1) at Platte County (4-0)

So much for that upset I picked last week. Platte County keeps on rolling. Winnetonka’s hopes for a Suburban Blue Conference title will be decided in the next two weeks. The Griffins start with unbeaten Platte County before playing host to undefeated Kearney next week.

Prediction: Winnetonka 28, Platte County 21

Oak Grove (3-1) at Odessa (4-0)

A year after winning two games, Odessa has already doubled that total. The Bulldogs aren’t just winning, either — they’re dominating, with three straight wins by at least 30 points. Their biggest test of the season comes against a potent Oak Grove rushing attack led by Aaron Graham.

Prediction: Oak Grove 28, Odessa 21

Raytown (2-2) at Raytown South (2-2)

Raytown South has won the past three rivalry matchups by a touchdown or less. Cardinals quarterback Jabril Cox is emerging as a player to watch over the final half of the season.

Prediction: Raytown South 28, Raytown 27

Rockhurst (3-1) at Blue Springs South (1-3)

Don’t let the record fool you. Blue Springs South is healthier and has put together quality outings in the past two weeks. Rockhurst bounced back nicely from a loss to Webb City for back-to-back wins against some of Arkansas’ best teams.

Prediction: Rockhurst 24, Blue Springs South 21
