Missouri high school football rankings: Pair of top-three teams to meet Friday

Staley and Kearney made deep postseason runs in their respective classes last fall, and each appears poised for another.

Staley (7-0) remains unbeaten through seven weeks, and it has held steady as the No. 2-ranked team in Missouri Class 5. Kearney (6-1) has reeled off six straight victories since a season-opening loss, climbing to No. 3 in Class 4.

The highly ranked teams are slated to meet Friday at Staley, the penultimate week of the regular season.
