Franklin made a game-winning layup as time expired to lift Liberty to a 55-54 win against Parkway North in the Missouri Class 5 basketball state tournament semifinals. A day later, she scored a team-high eight points in the loss to Rock Bridge in the state championship game.

Brandon Kilgore
SCHOOL: Blue Springs South
YEAR: Senior
SPORT: Basketball
Kilgore scored a team-best 23 points in Blue Springs South’s Missouri Class 5 state tournament championship victory Saturday against Park Hill South. Kilgore made eight of 11 shots and helped the Jaguars secure their first Missouri Class 5 championship in program history.
