Big-class rankings

1. Blue Valley (7-0)

Friday vs. St. Thomas Aquinas

Blue Valley will try to complete a perfect regular season this week.

2. Blue Springs (7-2)

Friday vs. Francis Howell Central

A top seed in their district, the Wildcats are without quarterback Chase Donohoe and tailback Jaylen Ivey.

3. Shawnee Mission East (6-1)

Friday at Shawnee Mission West

The Lancers have scored 48-plus points in every game but one this season.

4. Rockhurst (6-2)

Friday vs. Park Hill

The Hawklets have allowed only 11.8 points per game this season.

5. Lee’s Summit West (7-2)

Friday vs. Joplin

The Titans scored five times on plays of 30 yards or longer in last week’s win.

Bye

The Panthers face the winner of Truman and North Kansas City in the Class 5 second round.

In a season led by its offense, Miege recorded its first shutout last week.

The offense returned to form last week, with Anthony Pritzel accounting for four touchdowns.

3. Center (9-0)

Friday vs. Boonville

The Yellowjackets have scored 57 points per game over the last four weeks.

4. Basehor-Linwood (7-0)

Friday at Atchison

Basehor-Linwood will travel to Atchison as it hopes to finish its season undefeated.

5. Richmond (9-0)

Friday vs. Central

The undefeated Spartans open the Class 3 playoffs in search of their first title since 2010.
