1. Blue Valley ... 2-0 ... Friday vs. Blue Valley North

After a close win against Bishop Miege, Blue Valley could sigh in relief after a 49-7 blowout victory last week.

2. Shawnee Mission East ... 2-0 ... Friday at Rockhurst

The Lancers have won their two games by a combined 97 points.

3. Rockhurst ... 4-0 ... Friday vs. Shawnee Mission East

The Hawklets have already beaten three teams that they lost to last season.

4. Blue Springs ... 3-1 ... Friday at Shawnee Mission West

The Wildcats’ backfield has proven to be particularly deep, with backup Aveion Bailey rushing for two scores last week.

5. Mill Valley ... 2-0 ... Friday vs. Blue Valley Southwest

Quarterback Brody Flaming has led Mill Valley’s offense with nine touchdown passes in two games.

6. Shawnee Mission West ... 2-0 ... Friday vs. Blue Springs

Senior Jason Meeker’s triple threat (kickoff return, receiving and rushing touchdowns) boosted West last week.

7. Raymore-Peculiar ... 3-1 ... Friday vs. St. Joseph Central

The Panthers totaled 120 points over the first three weeks before getting shut out last Friday.

8. Liberty ... 4-0 ... Friday at Olathe East

To keep the undefeated record intact, the Blue Jays erased a late 10-point deficit.

9. St. Thomas Aquinas ... 2-0 ... Friday at Bishop Miege

The Saints overcame five turnovers to notch a crucial win over Blue Valley North last week.

10. Staley ... 3-1 ... Friday at Fort Osage

The Falcons are looking to shore up a defense that was stingy early, but has allowed 73 points in two weeks.

SMALL-CLASS ... RECORD ... THIS WEEK

1. Kearney ... 4-0 ... Friday at Liberty North

It’s an opportunity for payback for Kearney. Liberty North was the only team to beat the Bulldogs last season.

2. Bishop Miege ... 1-1 ... Friday vs. St. Thomas Aquinas

Friday will be a huge game for both schools and for Eastern Kansas League standings.

3. Platte County ... 3-1 ... Friday at Belton

After forcing 10 turnovers in a shutout against Harrisonville, the Pirates climbed to No. 3 in the Missouri Class 4 state poll.

4. Louisburg ... 2-0 ... Friday at De Soto

Louisburg used a convincing 39-6 win over Piper to jump into this week’s rankings.

5. Center ... 4-0 ... Friday at St. Pius X

It’s been four weeks of domination from the Yellowjackets, who have outscored opponents 147-17.
