The 2014 Web.com Tour Midwest Classic begins Monday with a week full of events leading up to four days of tournament play Thursday through Sunday at Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate. The tournament, whose host is the Kansas City Crusaders, is the only professional golf tournament held in Kansas City.

This year’s events include a “Party on the Green” benefit concert featuring music by country singer Travis Marvin and State Line Trio after the second round concludes Friday.

Gates will open at 7 a.m. Thursday through Sunday and 100 percent of the proceeds from grounds-pass sales will benefit charities in the Kansas City area.
