Ryne Fisher wins Kansas City amateur golf championship

Ryne Fisher used a bogey-free final round to win the Kansas City Amateur Championship by 2 strokes over Mark Terranova on Sunday.

After moving into the lead during Saturday’s second round, Fisher shot a 5-under 66 in the final round, the lowest round in any division in the three-day tournament, and finished overall at 8-under 205.

Andy Smith, an assistant coach for UMKC’s women’s golf program, won the Legends Division by 9 strokes after posting a 2-under 211.

Steve Groom also had a 9-stroke victory, winning the Seniors Division by shooting an 8-under 205.

Matt Foster won the Players Division with a 27-over 240.
