The opening round of the Digital Ally Open, a Web.com Tour event in Overland Park, was postponed Thursday after heavy overnight storms flooded portions of the Kansas City area.

The first round will be played Friday at Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate, which experienced flooded fairways after the rain, making the course unsuitable for play, according to tournament officials.

The four-day tournament will be condensed to three days in an attempt to still crown a champion Sunday. The second round will take place Saturday, and both the third and fourth rounds will be played Sunday.
