Gage Ihrig and Sam Stevens set for final at Kansas Amateur golf tournament

Chase Hanna’s celebrated amateur career came to an end Saturday in the semifinals of the 107th Kansas Amateur golf tournament at the Kansas City Country Club in Mission Hills.

After building a 3-up lead over Gage Ihrig through nine holes, the former Kansas Jayhawk started the back nine with three consecutive bogeys.

Ihrig rallied with three straight birdies to win 2 up. He will face Sam Stevens at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the championship final.

It will be Stevens’ fourth Kansas Amateur final in five years. He defeated Connor Knabe 1 up in the other semifinal.
