Former KU golfer Chase Hanna is in second place after three rounds of Southwestern Amateur
Chase Hanna shot a 1-under 69 in the third round on Friday at the Southwestern Amateur in Scottsdale, Ariz.
That gave him a three-round total of 9-under 201, good for second place, 1 shot behind leader Jino Sohn.
Hanna, who finished his college golf career at Kansas this spring, and who played in high school at Shawnee Mission East, was the leader after two rounds. On Friday, Hanna got off to a slow start with a 38 on the front nine, but he shot a 31 on the back that included an eagle on the par-5 18th hole.
The tournament will wrap up with the fourth round on Saturday.
