Kansas City’s World Cup organizers landed some big-name musical artists to perform at the Fan Festival at the World War I Museum and Memorial.

Perhaps none was bigger than the Chainsmokers, who were scheduled to play Saturday night.

But KC2026 announced Saturday morning that with heavy rains, lightning and high winds expected tonight, the Chainsmokers show has been postponed. It also provided an update for people planning to attend Fan Fest on Saturday.

“Due to the severe weather forecast for the evening of Saturday, June 13, The Chainsmokers performance has been rescheduled to Sunday, June 21,” FIFA World Cup 26 Kansas City wrote in a social-media message. “The FIFA Fan Festival will still open at 2 p.m. today as planned and we will continue to actively monitor conditions. Fans planning to attend should check official KC2026 channels for updates before traveling and follow instructions from on-site staff.”
