Which World Cup game in Kansas City has the cheapest tickets now?
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is underway, and the first game taking place at Kansas City Stadium (usually known as GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium) is just a few days away.
While thousands of fans are expected to continue to pack FIFA Fan Fest at the National World War I Museum & Memorial throughout the 18 days it’s open during the tournaments, thousands more are planning to go to one of the six tournament matches played in Kansas City.
Ticket prices have been the focal point of discussion among any of the host cities. With days to go before defending champion Argentina takes the field against Algeria, what do ticket prices look like?
The Star last checked prices Tuesday, June 9, where FIFA’s website lists lowest get-in price for the Tuesday, June 16, group stage match is currently listed at $625. Has it dropped since? Is this as cheap as it’s going to get for any of the six games?
Here’s what we found on FIFA’s official website on third-party ticket reselling websites as of Friday, June 12.
What is the cheapest FIFA World Cup ticket in Kansas City?
You won’t be saving money by purchasing tickets to a World Cup match in Kansas City, but the cheapest game ticket on the schedule is hundreds of dollars less compared to the rest of the games.
FIFA’s website says the Saturday, June 27, group-stage match between Austria and Algeria, whose base camp is n Lawrence, is the least expensive, with the get-in price set at $380. It’s a $70 drop compared to the Random Selection Draw tickets that went on sale through FIFA in February.
Austria and Algeria’s match is even cheaper on reseller websites. The lowest price is $238 on SeatGeek and $254 on StubHub.
The next cheapest match is a tie for $400 for the other two group stage matches: Curaçao versus Ecuador on Saturday, June 20, and Netherlands versus Tunisia on Thursday, June 25.
Both of these games are also cheaper on reseller websites, but not by much:
- Curaçao versus Ecuador costs $371 on StubHub and $378 on SeatGeek
- Netherlands versus Tunisia costs $376 on StubHub and $355 on SeatGeek
The round of 32 and quarterfinal matches are more expensive on FIFA’s website, with the cheapest ticket coming in at $510 and $1,350, respectively.
