Cheer on Ecuador’s World Cup team in Kansas City: Fan Fest, banderazo, parties
Whether you bleed yellow, blue and red or just want to support “La Tri,” come to Kansas City’s Ecuador rally.
The South American team will play their second 2026 FIFA World Cup match against Curaçao in Kansas City on Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m. But the game is only one part of the weekend for los Ecuatorianos.
The day before, Ecuador fans will take the stage at the FIFA Fan Festival on Friday, June 19, from 6:15-6:45 p.m. The “barras” are sure to sing a version of “A Mi Lindo Ecuador,” along with the national anthem “Salve, Oh Patria.” Fans can find more chants and songs into a Spanish-language songbook on the website for La 593, the country’s World Cup supporter group.
Named for Ecuador’s international phone code, the group invites everyone, Ecuadorian or not, to the “banderazo.”
In a message in Spanish, a representative for La 593 wrote, “They are welcome to cheer on Ecuador.”
“Whoever wants to come to support Ecuador and cheer is already another Ecuadorian,” they wrote.
To enter the Fan Fest, register for free tickets at passes.kc2026.com. The Juneteenth rally will be held after Team USA’s match against Australia and Flo Rida’s concert.
Immediately after, the “banderazo” will move outside the Fan Fest gates at 7 p.m. and continue at Pioneer Mothers Memorial, directly to the south of Liberty Memorial.
