Live music, popups and special deals: Get your passport to World Cup time on the Plaza
The Country Club Plaza is launching several World Cup themed attractions across the dining and shopping area that Kansas City residents and visitors can enjoy during the World Cup season.
Visitors can look forward to themed art installations, shopping deals, and seeing sights across the city.
“We’re proud to celebrate Kansas City’s moment on the global stage by creating experiences that bring visitors and our local community together,” said Scott Keller, General Manager of Country Club Plaza.
“From interactive activations and public art to shopping and dining experiences, we want the Plaza to feel welcoming, energetic and uniquely Kansas City all summer long.”
You can start visiting and enjoying these sights starting June 13.
Here is what you can expect to see in the area:
Plaza and the World Cup
The upper level of the central parking lot at 4706 Central Street will be converted into the Plaza Pitch, a turf space where visitors can play pickup soccer, lawn games and enjoy seating to relax and enjoy the Plaza.
Additionally, from noon to 4 p.m. from June 12 to July 13 the space will have various live musicians, popups and food beverage vendors.

Plaza Passport
The Plaza Passport is a guide for shoppers to see what deals and specials retailers are offering between June 13 and July 12.
You can pick up the passport at any of the participating retailers, nearby hotels and visitor bureaus.

Art installations and attractions
Local artist Jenny Myer-McCall created a mural titled “The World Plays Here” for the event.
The mural is located at the Plaza Pitch behind J. McLaughlin. The mural has soccer themed imagery and vibrant colors.
“Honored and maybe a bit sunburned, but ever so proud to share my newest mural on the Country Club Plaza as we snowball closer to June’s fun!” Myer-McCall said in an Instagram post introducing the mural.
The Country Club Plaza is collaborating with Historic KC to introduce an updated 2026 self-guided walking tour. The tour will guide explorers around the Plaza, explaining art, the fountains and notable landmarks.
