These roads around KC’s Arrowhead Stadium will be blocked off during the World Cup
Traffic patterns around Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium will shift on World Cup match days in June and July.
Here’s a look at how traffic will flow on the days of the six matches, according to KC2026, Kansas City’s World Cup committee:
- Northbound traffic on Blue Ridge Cutoff will close at Raytown Road two hours before the start of each match, then reopen during the first half, then close again at halftime to prepare for traffic leaving the stadium. Southbound lanes will remain open but left turns won’t be allowed.
- Stadium Drive access will be limited. From the west, only taxis, rideshare vehicles and passenger vans will be allowed to approach Lot O. From the north, only match ticket holders will be able to access Gate 6.
- Neighborhoods directly east of the stadium will only be able to be accessed with a permit for residents.
Limited parking will be available at the stadium, and those spots must be purchased in advance. Several lots will be used for hospitality, security and event operations. Most attendees will use the ConnectKC26 Stadium Direct bus service to get to the stadium from park-and-ride lots around the metro.
World Cup matches will be held at the stadium on June 16, 20, 25 and 27, as well as July 3 and 11.
