Verizon customers can get tickets to World Cup matches for free, including in KC

Verizon customers have an exclusive chance to secure tickets to the knockout matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets, including the round of 32 match hosted by GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The phone service provider announced it will drop hundreds of additional tickets for the match scheduled for Friday, July 3. A press release from Verizon says this is a “golden opportunity for local fans to score free tickets to one of the most anticipated sporting events in the city’s history.”

Kansas City-area customers can enter a first-come first-serve draw at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26 on Verizon Access, a portal that offers deals and benefits to Verizon subscribers. Thursday’s draw also includes tickets to knockout matches in Houston and Los Angeles.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced plans in December to leave their longtime home at Arrowhead Stadium and building a new domed stadium in Wyandotte County, Kansas. The stadium was seen on Wednesday, Jan. 14 2026, in Kansas City.

Verizon customers can also enter to win an all-inclusive experience with a three-day, two-night trip for two to attend the World Cup final Sunday, July 19, at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, from now until Tuesday, March 31, on Verizon Access.

Drops for knockout round match tickets also take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, for games in Philadelphia, Boston, Miami and Atlanta; and 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, for games in East Rutherford and Dallas. Tickets claimed in these drops do not include travel or accommodations, Verizon says.
