UMKC rallies for 66-63 victory over Cal State Bakersfield
Martez Harrison scored 17 points as UMKC beat Cal State Bakersfield 66-63 on Thursday night at Municipal Auditorium.
The Kangaroos needed to rally late to win. They did just that, closing the game on a 21-6 run.
Frank Williams Jr. hit a three-pointer with 5:14 left that started a 9-0 run that ended with two Harrison free throws. That pulled the Kangaroos to within 57-54 with 3:16 left.
After a free throw by the Roadrunners, UMKC scored eight straight and took a 62-58 with 1:29 to go.
UMKC improved to 7-13.
Tyrell Corbin led Bakersfield, 5-14, with 16 points.
