UMKC senior Antoine Rozner is one of 25 golfers under consideration for the Ben Hogan Award, given annually to the top men’s college golfer in either NCAA Division I, II or II, the NAIA or junior college.
The 25-golfer Hogan watch list was announced Wednesday by the Colonial Country Club, Friends of Golf and Golf Coaches Association of America. The list will be trimmed to 10 semifinalists April 13 and three finalists on May 3. The award will be presented May 23 before the PGA Tour Colonial tournament.
Rozner, from Paris, is the first UMKC golfer to appear on the Hogan watch list. He has the second-lowest scoring average in the NCAA at 68.67 and has won two individual titles this season. He’s also broken school records this year for lowest single-round and tournament score.
