It will be a Chiefs’ Saturday all across Kansas City today, even in the world of college basketball.

So much so that the UMKC men’s basketball team pushed back the time of its game tonight at Municipal Auditorium against Cal State Bakersfield to 7:05 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for a 6 p.m. tipoff.

The change was made “in order for Roo fans to watch the Kansas City Chiefs playoff game, and still attend to the UMKC contest in its entirety,” UMKC says on its website.

UMKC moved to 8-8 with a 84-69 win over Seattle on Thursday night at Municipal Auditorium in its WAC opener. The Kangaroos are 7-0 at home, tying the program’s best-ever home start.

Cal State Bakersfield is 10-5 and will be playing its WAC opener.
