▪ OUTLOOK: UMKC’s final non-conference road game. The Kangaroos, 5-10, have split the first two games of the road trip, beating Indiana State and falling to Canisius. UMKC plays South Carolina-Upstate on Tuesday before opening the Western Athletic Conference season at New Mexico State on Jan. 10. Guard Martez Harrison has scored 57 points in his last two games and is averaging 18.6 points. Miami, 4-8, is coached by John Cooper, the former Rockhurst High and Wichita State star. This is his third year in Oxford after spending three years at Tennessee State. It’s a defensive-minded team that has won two of its last three games.
