Kansas City Roos have cold night shooting, lose at Green Bay for second straight defeat
It was a cold night for the Kansas City Roos in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Saturday night.
The result of the poor shooting was a 70-64 loss to Green Bay.
It was the Roos’ second straight defeat, and just the second victory of the season for Green Bay.
Kansas City rallied late, cutting a 64-55 deficit to four points at 68-64 with a few ticks left on the clock. But it was too late to win the day.
Shemarri Allen poured in a game-high 28 points for the Roos, who dropped to 4-9 on the season. Allen made 9 of 21 shots, including 2 of 2 three-pointers. Allen had four steals and four rebounds but committed seven turnovers.
The rest of the Roos made only 14 shots from the field collectively. Overall, Kansas City shot 35.9% (23 of 64) from the field to Green Bay’s 52.5% (21 of 40). Green Bay also made 25 of 30 free throws (83.3%), while the Roos made 13 of 17 free throws (76.5 percent).
Cade Meyer scored 25 points for Green Bay, which improved to 2-8.
Kansas City returns to the floor with a home game at Swinney Center against South Dakota on Dec. 19.
